Business owners in a Ukrainian front-line city adapt even as 'a missile can come at any moment'

Russia's deadly attack on a beloved pizzeria in eastern Ukraine in June was painful for residents. The rubble remains in Kramatorsk as a reminder of the risk for businesses so close to the front lines. But many other shops and restaurants have defied the threat and reopened in recent months. The city council estimates that the number of shops and restaurants open in Kramatorsk is three times that of the same period a year ago. “Wherever we are, we need to work,” one administrator with a burger chain says.
