Lyricist Kingshuk Chatterjee has died at 45, suffering from long-term liver issues. Musician Soumya Bose confirmed the news on social media. Chatterjee was hospitalized for a month in South Kolkata before his demise. Hailing from Barasat, West Bengal, he had been ill frequently according to family. Known for writing songs like "O Baul," "Tomra Bhebe Korbe Ki," and "Bhire Bhire," he contributed to the careers of popular singers such as Haimanti Sukla and Rupankar Bagchi. After a hiatus due to illness, he resumed songwriting in 2016.
