Can new legislation help 'Lost Canadians' be found again?

Pete Giesbrecht is one of thousands of so-called 'Lost Canadians' — people who, because of where and when they were born, lost their citizenship due to a complicated and not well publicized section in the Citizenship Act. If passed, new legislation will help those affected, but not others caught up in a second-generation cut-off rule.
