'Opposition parties trying to divert attention, tableaux of 4 BJP-ruled states also rejected'

The Union government on Thursday strongly denied charges levelled by West Bengal and Maharashtra governments that their tableaux proposals for Republic Day Parade were rejected as they were opposition-ruled states. Government sources said tableaux of four BJP-ruled states namely, Haryana, Uttarakhand, Tripura, Arunachal Pradesh, have also been rejected.
