Rs 1,000cr raised for Ram temple in just a month

The Ram temple trust’s coffers are brimming with Rs 1,000 crore in less than 30 days since the nationwide fund-raising drive was launched by Vishwa Hindu Parishad on Makar Sankranti last month. “Bank accounts of Sriram Janambhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust in three nationalised banks [State Bank of India, Punjab National Bank and Bank of Baroda] have a current balance of more than Rs 1,000 crore,” trust secretary Champat Rai told TOI.
