80-year-old Maharashtra’s 1st death linked to Delta+

One of the 21 patients detected with the Delta-plus variant in Maharashtra died on June 13 due to complications from Covid-19 and old age. This is the first death linked to the emerging variant in the state, reports Sumitra DebRoy. Almost all other patients have recovered, officials said.
