Elephant at Delhi zoo adopted for Rs 6 lakh

Shiv Kumar Singh has been seeing Hiragaj the elephant regularly over three decades of visiting the National Zoological Park. It was, therefore, with a sense of accomplishment that the 43-year-old government contractor adopted Hiragaj on Friday for one year. The adoption cost? Rs 6 lakh.
