Crowd control & contact tracing stepped up, masks mandatory as health worker tests positive for Nipah in Kerala

A 24-year-old healthcare worker at a private hospital in Kerala's Kozhikode district tested positive for Nipah fever on Wednesday, a day after four people, including two who have since passed away, were confirmed to be infected with the virus. The health worker's samples were tested at National Institute of Virology, Pune, according to health minister Veena George.
