Karnataka accident: 'SUV hit truck at 100kmph, doors opened using gas-cutters'

Thirteen people, including a six-year-old boy and a student, died in a car accident on the Bengaluru-Hyderabad highway near Chikkaballapur. The accident occurred due to poor visibility caused by fog, and the driver of the SUV failed to see a parked truck. Ten people died instantly, while two died while being shifted to the hospital and one died at the hospital. The victims were returning to Bengaluru after celebrating Dasara in their family village in Andhra Pradesh. The truck driver has been arrested and the Chief Minister has announced compensation for the families of the deceased.
