India, Russia seal deal on future Kudankulam units

India and Russia sign agreements for the construction of future units of the Kudankulam nuclear project in Tamil Nadu. External affairs minister S Jaishankar holds talks with Russian deputy PM and trade minister Denis Manturov. Jaishankar describes Russia as a special partner in defence, space, and nuclear power. The annual bilateral trade volume is expected to reach $100 billion. In-person negotiations on the free trade agreement between India and the Eurasian Economic Zone will begin soon.
