US: Pulitzer Prize-winning novelist Cormac McCarthy dies at 89

Cormac McCarthy wrote about the darker tales of humanity and first broke through commercially with the book "All the Pretty Horses" in 1992. "The Road" and "No Country for Old Men" were among his notable works.
