Sudan asks African nations to facilitate finding inclusive resolutions on Nile dam

(MENAFN) On Sunday, Apr. 18 Sudan asked African nations to shore up the attempts in finding inclusive and pleasing resolutions to all parties concerning the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam (GERD). According to the Sudanese foreign ministry, the country's Foreign Minister Mariam Al-Sadiq Al-Mahdi on Sunday arranged an online assembly with Ambassadors of African Union (AU) Member States accredited to Sudan. It stated that Sudan's minister informed the African diplomats about the result of the Nile dam negotiations newly hosted in Kinshasa, reaffirming the country's solid position on the need of finding a binding accord before Ethiopia advances with the 2nd filling of the GERD. She noted that Sudan was waiting for African nations' support to achieve inclusive and pleasing resolutions to all parties.
