(MENAFN - Mid-East.Info) Studies suggest that the COVID-19 pandemic has resulted in a dramatically increased burden for women, who were already doing most of the world's unpaid care work Dubai, United Arab Emirates: Panasonic Marketing Middle East & Africa FZE (PMMAF) celebrated the month of March as 'Women's Month' with the #YouInspireMe campaign that spread the word of women's strength and commitment by setting a platform for women to share stories of how other women inspired them during the pandemic. Recent researches state that women were already doing most of the world's unpaid care work before the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. Meanwhile, the crisis and its subsequent shutdown response have resulted in a dramatic increase in this burden. Women in all walks of life have shown unformidable commitment to nurturing and strengthening everyone around them during a very unexpected year of difficulties as the world crippled due to the pandemic. To create awareness about the above factor and appreciate women, Panasonic launched the #YouInspireMe campaign to recognize the role of women as a pillar of strength to society. The campaign offered a platform for women to share and appreciate a female figure in their life who inspired and supported them. Panasonic collaborated with 17 female influencers from GCC and Pakistan to kick off the hashtag campaign that received an overwhelming response, quickly garnering over 330 thousand engagements. The influencers shared posts thanking the woman who supported them using the hashtag #YouInspireMe and encouraged netizens to do the same. 'Panasonic wanted to recognize each woman's contribution as a pillar of strength for her family, friends, spouses, colleagues and whomever they might have surely supported. We wanted to celebrate the women who are the backbone of our society as mothers, homemakers, business professionals, and healthcare frontliners. We thank each one of them for the support and effort they put in to make 'A Better Life, A Better World' for those around them,'  Patricia Nazarian Head of Corporate Communications, PMMAF. 'Each one of the wonderful women we collaborated with has been continuously talking to their followers and sharing tips and ideas as the world went into a lockdown during quarantine, and all these influencers have one woman who helped them through the difficult times. The campaign gave them a platform to share their stories and encouraged thousands of others to do the same,'  Patricia added. A contest run on the sidelines of the month-long #YouInspireMe campaign were announced on 19th April 2021 through Panasonic's social media channels. The six winners were from UAE, KSA, Kuwait, Oman & Egypt who won product packages from Panasonic.
