SCTC conducts first ever meeting

(MENAFN - Gulf Times) Smart Communicator Toastmasters Club (SCTC) recently conducted its first ever meeting after being chartered under Area 21, Division F and District 116. The inaugural session was attended by Md. Jashim Uddin, Bangladesh ambassador to Qatar, as the chief guest. The session was also attended and witnessed by Md Mahbur Rahman, Counsellor (Political & Economic Affairs), District 116 Director Thayalan Kailayapillai, District Club Growth Director and Programme Quality Director-Elect Rajesh VC, Division F Director Anil Nair, Engineer Anwar Hossain Akon, president of Bangladesh Community Qatar, Lt Commander Anwar Khurshid (Retd), director Bangladesh MHM School & College, and Principal Mohamed Jashim Uddin. Area 21 Director Noor Mohamed played the role of toastmaster of the evening and Khorshed Alam was the presiding officer. A module titled ‘Why Toastmaster’ was presented by Rajesh VC. Swetha Raghuraman delivered her prepared speech, while Ajaya Rogiye evaluated the speech. Monirul Hoque conducted the table topic session. The sergeant at arms and timer role was played by Bulbul Ahmed and Anil Nair was the general evaluator. Ambassador Md. Jashim Uddin and Counsellor Md Mahbur Rahman assured of their support for promoting communication, public speaking, and leadership development by the inspiring toastmasters of SCTC. District Director Thayalan Kailayapillai thanked Area Director Noor Mohamed and Division officials for chartering a second Bangladeshi community-based club in the town, the first being BC Toastmaster Club. Anwar Hossain Akon, Lt Commander Anwar Khurshid (Retd) and Mohamed Jashim Uddin also spoke on the occasion.
