Police were called at 10pm on Thursday 30 July to the A30 at Loggans Moor roundabout, Hayle, following reports of a collision involving a Grey Suzuki Vitara and a Silver Peugeot 207.

Emergency services attended there scene where a woman in her 40s and a 3-year-old child, were suspected to have suffered serious injuries and were both taken to Treliske hospital. The child was later found to have sustained cuts and bruises and the woman has sustained serious injuries to her ribs.

Local officers as well as officers from the Roads Policing Team attended and a forensic examination of the scene was conducted.

Once a full examination of the scene was conducted the roads were re-opened. Officers would also like to thank the public for their patience whilst the road was closed.

Officers are appealing for anyone who was in the area at the time and may have relevant dash cam footage to get in touch.

Investigating officers are also keen to speak to anyone who witnessed a Grey Suzuki Vitara traveling Westbound on the A30 prior to the collision, to contact police.

Anyone who witnessed the incident and anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101 quoting log 1156 30/07/20.
