Pluto Saffron Releases ‘Christmas in LA’; Drops Surreal Music Video

Accompanying the 'Christmas in LA' release is a new music video that takes the viewer on a blissful journey through the sunlit streets of Los Angeles, featuring Pluto and Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer.

Co-directed by Banks and Toast van Gogh, the video takes an unexpected turn as characters gracefully traverse backward through space and time, defying gravity with elegance-a creative nod to iconic music video director Spike Jonze and his work on The Pharcyde's ‘Drop'.

‘Christmas in LA' was recorded with James Hurst, Banks' previous bandmate in Beach Party, which released two EPs and toured with notable acts such as the Black Lips, Bass Drum of Death, and Hanni El Khatib.

The new experience comes on the heels of the recent release 'Don't Fade Away,' another Banks and Toast van Gogh collaboration, which has been heralded as the "ultimate irresistible burst of nostalgia" by Atwood Magazine.
