Research from Washington University in St. Louis reveals significant daily shifts in Antarctica's Ross Ice Shelf, driven by an ice stream's activity. The Ross Ice Shelf, the largest of its kind in Antarctica, experiences displacements of 6 to 8 centimeters (around 3 inches) up to twice daily. These movements, caused by the Whillans Ice Stream, highlight the dynamic nature of Antarctic ice and it
