The New York Mets defeated the Miami Marlins on a walk-off hit by pitch. Michael Conforto was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded but appeared to stick out his padded elbow to make contact with the ball that should have resulted in a third strike ending the inning. Instead, Conforto was then awarded the base, scoring Luis Guillorme from third, and the Mets won the game 3-2.
