Telegram is often considered the best alternative to WhatsApp, and the whole thing happens for a good reason. Not only Telegram is a feature-rich messaging platform, but it also comes with state-of-the-art privacy, which given the controversial policy updates announced by WhatsApp earlier this year, has obviously attracted a significant number of users. And the Telegram user base just kept growing and growing lately, until last week when it reached a new milestone. Telegram has been downloaded over 1 billion times globally according to Sensor Tower data shared with TechCrunch.
