Officially unveiled last year, The Lord of the Rings: Gollum is launching earlier than we have expected. In between so many delays, Deadalic Entertainment and NACON managed to keep the development of their Lord of the Rings game on track for a 2022 release. In a joint statement, the companies confirmed The Lord of the Rings: Gollum is set for release on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and PC on September 1. Additionally, the game will launch for Nintendo Switch sometime later this year. Based on the popular The Lord of the Rings trilogy of books by J.R.R. Tolkien, as the name suggests, The Lord of the Rings: Gollum focuses on the adventures of the mysterious character and tries to tell the creature’s experiences from behind-the-scenes in the first chapters of The Fellowship of the Ring.
