The Twitter verified accounts saga continues, this time with fresh information shared by none other than the new company founder Elon Musk. In a post earlier this week, Musk revealed that Twitter plans to bring back verified accounts, with a possible launch planned for next Friday. But worth knowing is that the company wants to roll out multiple colors for the controversial check marks, this time with a manual verification to take place for each account. In a post on November 22, Musk revealed for the first time that Twitter could turn to colored check marks in an attempt to make it clearer what kind of account is tweeting. “Holding off relaunch of Blue Verified until there is high confidence of stopping impersonation. Will probably use different color check for organizations than individuals,” Musk said at that point.
