With the cracked West Seattle Bridge being declared a civil emergency and impacting thousands of commuters daily, King County Metro has released plans to continue transit services to the peninsula. The agency is preparing for several scenarios that hinge on the viability of the Lower Spokane Street Bridge given that the West Seattle High-Rise Bridge is not expected to reopen until 2022 at the earliest.
