It's 6:5 .... time for the morning sprint as we get your day started with everything you need to know on what's hopefully a long holiday weekend.

We start with breaking news overnight... seven americans are dead after a helicopter flying from big grand cay island to fort lauderdale crashed.

The cause is under investigation... and the names of the victims haven't been released, but officials have identified them as four women and three men.

Cbs this morning will have more on this story starting at 7.

19 people are hospitalized after stabbings at navy pier created a stampede overnight officials say three stabbing victims are in serious to critical condition.

Chicago investigators originally said one person was shot... but that is now known to be false.

The c-f-d says that 16 others were injured because of a stampede that happened as a result of the stabbings.

A six-point-four maginitude earthquake rocked the southern part of california, reaching as far south as orange county and as far east as las vegas.

The epicenter was in the mojave desert... but more than 150 miles away, lights swayed inside the k-c-b-s television studio in l-a.

They've released photos of the woman and her companion entering and leaving a walmart store in lufkin on june 28th -- authorities say they're taking the matter seriously, the woman could be facing up to 20 years in prison with federal charges.

A motorcyclist is seriously injured after a crash on i-39 near deforest yesterday.

The crash happened just after 4:30 pm... when traffic started to slow down between two motorcyclists.

One of them lost control, and crashed into the other.

A 66-year-old man from indianapolis was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The other rider wasn't injured.

Some madison moms are donating old baby clothes to migrant children in arizona.

Maggie musgrave reached out to other moms in the community, and after gaining 400 pounds of donations, they decided to keep the project going.

There are three ways people in madison can help their cause.

Three people are facing charges in a fireworks heist and police chase in southeastern wisconsin.

Investigators say 27-hundred dollars worth of fireworks were stolen from "phantom fireworks" in addison yesterday.

The washington county sheriff's office says a deputy later found the vehicle and the three people after a chase ensued, all three people were taken into custody.
