Your morning news now... new video released overnight shows a u-s military convoy entering iraq.

U-s troops that were in syria ... are re- deploying to iraq.

Defense secretary mark esper says ... from there... the u-s military could conduct counter terrorism missions against isis in syria.

Also this morning... the new york times' is reporting that president trump is now considering leaving about 200 u-s troops in eastern syria ... as part of the battle against isis ... and to block the advance of russian and syrian forces.

Three u-s soldiers were killed in a vehicle rollover in georgia over the weekend.

The accident happened during training early sunday at fort stewart in georgia.

No other information has been released.

"it started shaking kind of like an earthquake, moving the house around and a lot of whistling, all that wind and you could hear branches hitting the windows, i thought the roof was gonna fall off."

Damage assessments are getting started in dallas ... where a tornado touched down last night.

No serious injuries are reported.

Sackett faces life in prison if convicted of first degree intentional homicide' in the death of former girlfriend erin somvilia ( ).

Sackett is accused of killing her... then dumping her body in a vernon county lake in june of last year.

News eight plans on having a crew at the courthouse today.

Opening statements in the first federal opioid trial are scheduled to start today in ohio.

This case involves thousands of lawsuits ... alleging companies that make and distribute drugs fueled the nation's opioid crisis.

Plaintiffs are seeking billions.

Also today ... results of a new poll from marquette university law school will be released.

This poll focused on how the public views the u-s supreme court... and how much people know about it.

It's the first ever national poll done by the school.

And finally ... get out and enjoy those fall colors while you can!

According to travel wisconsin' ... those colors are nearing their peak in la crosse county.

In vernon county ... they're already peaking!
