Up first--- jennifer soto out of orland high school.
The sophomore faced hailey chapman from lake arrowhead in the semi finals-- and it was a fast match& soto will get the fall in just ten seconds& she will move on to the 121 pound final to defend her title against selma high's melanie mendoza.
As for her teammate--- madison fonseca& she lost in yesterday's quarterfinals& she went down to the consolation rounds and fought her way back to earn fifth place in the 126's.
Now to las plumas --- shawntel copple was the lone thunderbird here today--- she was also in the consolation rounds --- with back to back to back wins--- copple takes fourth in the 131 division.
Now to the boys' bracket& in the 220 pound division--- number one seed jacob christensen --- this junior showed he was a true trojan --- in the semi's --- he beat gabriel carranza by a 5-3 decision& to stay undefeated this season and move on to the finals& he will face brandon leon out of roosevelt high in east vale.
