This third grader loves love it.

Adalyn golow making sure her neighbors don't go without, from a distance, of course.

Brooke schwieters has the story.

It is actually good news for a third greater in mount pleasant who was inspired by the closures to host her own story time in her neighborhood.

She has got lots of different books to choose from to practice safe social distancing and reading from one person or one family at the time and little bench at the bottom of the stairs.

Adalyn says it has been a great way to get people out of their house and get to know her neighbors.

She adds she misses the classroom but has been enjoying time with her family.

>> it is kind of different because you can't go out and play with your friends every single day.

Yeah, like we -- we are adapting to it.

We play games, watch movies together, we do lots of different things.

>> brooke: adalyn says she hopes it the continue her story time the entire time people are asked to stay-at-home and continue practicing social distancing.

Right now adalyn says she is only reading to her surrounding neighbors but encourages other kids, other people to possible blow do something like this and continue uplifting their own neighborhood.
