SAVANNAH LOSS OF SEASON 1

The Savannah baseball team had high hopes for this season after making it to the state semifinals last year but the coronavirus pandemic put an initial hold on everything then the Missouri State High School Activities Association made their announcement last Thursday April 9th to cancel all the spring Sports and it's been hard for this team especially the seniors to try to deal with the loss of the season and what could have been heartbreaking for a senior's we always had a great run last year we were looking to build upon that and then the news to come out and say we can't do that and it's not really that we wanted to finish out her senior year has a big part of these days he's young men's lives and you know to have to miss a season much less a senior season 4 where are guys you know that's that's kind of hard to digest coming off of one of the best runs in school history last season and also returning eight of nine starters the Savages were favourites to make another deep push it state but in their minds to get everything going it was a new year the new season treating up just like we did last year we were worried about ourselves not anybody else we wanted to make sure that we were getting better and we were going to take it one game at a time one price for the time having a heart broken in that semifinal game not being able to fix that Championship it was back there for motivation but it was more of a clean slate for us Braden Barrie Savannah's ace pitcher will be heading to Iowa Western Community College in to stay loose and keep his arm ready he's been getting some interesting tips from his new pitching coach stock and I am not Buy stores like for the base your toe would be and then shove it up your arm and then put duct tape by your friend her wrist and then threw the ball in there you can actually play with yourself and it's pretty entertaining but I mean that's how I can keep my arm and shave soap with schools being closed having no practices or games finding ways to keep themselves busy is the daily challenge with all of this new free time with me too but I mean it's not really much me you can't do anything so I get on there sometimes and just mess around we've done a little bit of mushroom hunting like I said we played baseball in the backyard I'm I'm painting the outside of my house right now the fishing has been pretty good so I can't complain about that
