Dunbar farms in medford is seeing an increase in sales.

More than double.

Possibly even triple.

Nick which has been really awesome and we feel incredibly greatful for that support.

Carie so it varies day to day we are seeing more people come in because there is nothing else open.

Carie trost is the co-owner of wishing well collaborative l-l-c.

She sells plants.

Carrie people are looking for projects so it can be anywhere from house plants to water gardening with a patio or working on their pond.

I asked her why she thinks people are buying plants.

Carie for one thing they are just soothing and uplifting all at the same time.

I asked the same question to nick stevenson who works at dunbar farm.

Nick pretty coronavirus safe with the ordering online, paying online and then coming here to pick up your order.

He says luckily the farm started this online order before the pandemic started.

Nick so that just kind of bodes well with the conditions that we are in.

Both business hope the plants or vegetables they give to people give them a smile.

Nick we are so greatful for the support that we've been seeing from our existing customers and actually a lot of new customers.

Carrie hope, that's what we are trying to give to our customers every single day.

Some researchers also found people are turning to growing their own vegetables as a way to increase food security.
