Testing all around the state.

Lafayette will soon be opening up a free testing site.

Twenty new sites will be open within a week and 50 will be open in the next 2 weeks.

Dr. lindsay weaver is the chief medical officer for the indiana state department of health.

She says this is possible because of a partnership between the isdh and optum serve.

Weaver laid out who can get tested it includes symptomatic hoosiers those that have had close or are having close contact with infected people and symptomatic hoosiers living in a facility where others have tested positive.

Dr. weaver hopes all of this new testing will help flatten the curve.

So these are compared to our neighboring states and how many people are tested per 100,000...this is the increase..it'll be really exciting to see how much we increase testing over the next week and month.

Gov.

Holcomb plans to release additional details about the new testing sites on friday.

We will post how the testing works on our website wlfi.com within the next hour.
