The order came after news of a meat shortage began last week.

Several meat processing plants across the nation shut down because of coronavirus.

Poultry plant workers in jackson grew concerned last month after some employees tested positive for the virus.

But a tyson foods spokesman said at the time, the plants were following the cdc guidelines to include installing work station dividers and barriers, sanitizing and social distancing.
