Endangered Sumatran tiger in Indonesia found dead in wire trap

This footage, filmed on May 18, 2020, shows Officer Nature Conservation Agency Indonesia examines the carcass of a Sumatran tiger found dead after being caught in a trap at the local Natural Resources Conservation Agency office in Pekanbaru, Riau province, Indonesia.

The head of the local conservation agency, Suharyono, said the male tiger, aged about 1,5 years, was found dead in a wire trap in a Forest at Minas Village, Siak Regency, Riau Province, Indonesia.

Sumatran tigers, the most critically endangered tiger subspecies, are under increasing pressure as their jungle habitat shrinks.
