Chinese firemen rescue man trapped on cliff

Heroic firefighters in northern China rescued a man after he got trapped on a cliff on May 23.

The video, filmed in the city of Handan in Hebei Province and provided by local fire brigade, shows a fireman tied by safety ropes lowering down the vertical cliff to approach the man who got trapped on its face.

After putting a helmet on the man's head and attached a safety rope to him, the fireman helped him to climb up while other firefighters hauled the ropes up gradually at the same time.

The trapped man was rescued successfully after 30 minutes.

The man was reportedly hiking with two other people, but he got lost when walking down the mountains.

When he climbed to the middle of the steep cliff face, he was too tired to climb up or down and got trapped there.

After he called the police for help, the firefighters walked more than two hours and climbed over eight mountains to save him.
