The mobile food pantry in Haven Acres donated food to the community.

A mobile food pantry in tupelo handed out food to the community today.

People from the haven acres neighborhood were greeted with free food at the haven acres boys and girls club this morning... jason martin is executive director of lee county hunger coalition... he said the pantry is made possible through the coalition's send-a-meal program.... he added the milk was donated by praire farms and frozen sandwiches donated by rayburn's foods.

He said the pantry's main purpose is to help.

"we're hoping to target families today and be able to provide them with some additional food to help them make it through the summer."

We know their food budget it's tight, especially during this time of covid 19" people had to stay in their cars and practice cdc guidelines for social distancing when receiving food.
