The numbers do.

This morning..

We were supposed to hear from the state superintendent of education about next steps for schools this fall.

Now, we are learning that he will be meeting with superintendents this upcoming monday and unveil future school plans a week from today.

So how are school districts across north alabama preparing for that.?

Join me now is madison city schools superintendent dr. ed nichols dr. nichols ... good morning.

Pause we have been anticipating state superintendent dr. mackey to issue some guidance today.

What are you hearing?

Parents / teachers / you administrators are waiting with bated breath today.

What do you expect to hear from dr. mackey today to help you plan for the fall?

Seems like the key thing to watch is about whether to open cafeterias or even have bus transportation this fall.

Right?

Of course - you have already been making preparations.

What's the gameplan so far?

Will there be amble enough time for parents and teachers to properly prepare?

- are we thinking august - or be pushed to open in september?

And even with dr. mackey's guidance today - that could change depending on what governor ivey decides to do on july 3 when the safer at home order expires - right?

- so "stay tuned" ... and we will have to back to
