Polling sites change for Primary Day

Many polling sites across Oneida, Herkimer and Otsego counties have been consolidated or changed due to the pandemic.

And we are learning more from the local boards of election.....about the process.

Absentee ballots are due tomorrow.

--they must be post marked june 23rd.

And a high volume is expected because of coronavirus concerns.

Per new york state law.... those won't be opened and counted until july first.

You still have the option to vote in person.

In herkimer and otsego counties.... polling locations have been consolidated.

We have a list of sites at wktv.com.

In oneida county.... all polling locations will be open.

Polls close at nine pm.

There is an election protection hotline.

This is the number to call to report problems at polling sites.

According to the state attorney general, this hotline is available to troubleshoot a number of issues.... inlucing absentee ballot concerns.
