Shooting in Shingletown kills three and closes parts of Highway 44

California Highway Patrol officials confirm a shooting in Shingletown killed three and closed-off sections of Highway 44 Saturday afternoon.

We are following another shooting - this one near shingle town in shasta county, karen alvarez is there and spoke with investigators.

I'm along highway 44 here in shingletown where earlier today a chp officer was able to confirm that shots were fired earlier.

Multiple agencies, such as chp, shasta county sheriff's office, shasta county office of emergency services, and calfire are some of the agencies that remain on scene.

Dersch road is closed and will remain closed for awhile.
