Numbers rising once again, it's one of the great debates in the country right now -- to wear or not to wear a mask.

Cites and states across the country are making the decision on whether or not to mandate mask wearing in publc to prevent the spread of the coronavirus kq's alan van zandt joins us in studio now on governor mike parson weighing in with his thoughts.

The governor is definitely on the side of no government involvement in what he says is a personal decision on whether or not to wear a mask.

At his coronavirus briefing today at the state capitol he lamented the fact the issue has become political.

He stressed people should wear a mask if it makes them feel safer -- and urged everyone to continue social distancing, but said he will not require missourians to wear a mask.

(sot ) his comments come one day after kansas governor laura kelly issued a statewide mask mandate that will take effect next monday.

Kansas city also has a citywide mask regulation now that took effect yesterday.

Joseph city leaders have a work session planned for thursday where they will be talking about also possibly enacting a mask mandate.
