Person At Graduations Test Positive

Sydney Martin provides more information after Huntsville City schools announced someone associated with two graduation ceremonies test positive for the coronavirus.

Today- huntsville city schools announced someone associated with two graduation ceremonies tested positive.

Waay 31's sydney martin is live outside the von braun center tonight- after working to learn more.

At the time last friday- huntsville high school families were celebrating graduation here at the von braun center- now, the district said some of the people who attended the ceremony could have been exposed to coronavirus.

The huntsville high school ceremonies were at 5 o'clock and 7 o'clock last friday night.

The district isn't saying who associated with graduation was exposed - but said anyone who attended could have been exposed to the now positive individual.

District officials are asking for everyone who was at the ceremony to monitor for coronavirus symptoms until july 10 th- that's the full two weeks it could take for someone to get sick after exposure.

The district is asking anyone with a confirmed case to contact them.
