Agnes Church found a way to get people out who may have been cooped up in their houses for months.

St.

Agnes church in utica had to cancel their annual feast this year due to covid-19.

But they held a drive thru event this afternoon for people who love their italian food!

The church on tilden ave held a drive thru pasta fagioli and meatball tunnel sub event.

With no festival this year, they found a way to get people out to them who have been cooped up in their houses for months.

The church's youth minister says despite the fesitival being cancelled this year, they still found a way to give back to the community.

"we really just started coming back to church a few weeks ago with limited attendance.

And so we've missed out on our parish festival that we would've had on june 13th-14th.

So this was something that we kind of came up with as an alternative.

People couldn't be here we did our raffle still and we figured this would be a nice way for the community to come out and get something good to eat."

Proceeds from the drive thru event benefit church activity programs like faith formation and youth ministry.
