Decision taken under govt pressure: UP Congress chief on Speaker rejecting plea to disqualify 2 MLAs

After Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly Speaker Hriday Narayan Dixit rejected Congress' plea to disqualify two of its MLAs, state party president, Ajay Kumar Lallu, said that the decision was taken in pressure of the government.Speaking on it, Lallu said, "The Speaker has not taken appropriate action towards Congress MLAs despite having proper proofs, in pressure of government.

We have other options as well and we'll move to court and I have trust that we'll get the justice."He further said, "I believe both of them were working against Congress in contiguous with the government.

That's why Congress party filed the case or petition.

Assembly Speaker is from government's side and that's why the Speaker didn't take appropriate decision.

We'll go to High Court now." Congress party had petitioned the Speaker seeking disqualification of its Rae Bareli MLA Aditi Singh and Harchandpur MLA Rakesh Singh but Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly Speaker Hriday Narayan Dikshit rejected the plea.
