MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Anderson’s Diner and the Macon-Bibb County Health Department gave away masks Tuesday.

Not overturned by commissioners.

In order to overturn the mayor's veto, it would have taken six votes.

To help stop the spread of the coronavirus, anderson's diner and the macon-bibb county health department held a free masks giveaway drive today.

Hollingshed: partnership coordinator johnny hollingshed, and diner owner dexter anderson, say they're working with the health department and other groups to distribute more resources.

Hollingshed: anderson: both say during this hardship for many people, they just want to help.

Hollingshed: we are very excited to have the macon health department here, giving out masks for the youth, teens, and adults.

It's a joint effort, the community is involved, and we are very thankful.
