Northwest missouri state has one week left to finalize plans for the fall semester, while incoming students prepare for the new college normal... kq2's danielle soxy joins us in studio tonight with more on what northwest missouri will look like come next wednesday..danielle... thank you alan..

Northwest missouri state has been prepairing for the start of the school year all summer, and the staff seems fairly confident in their plan that lies ahead for the fall semester.

Starting this thursday, incoming freshmen will move in sparatically over the weekend,allowing for less people in the dorms, and trying to practice social distancing as best as they can.

Now northwest is still allowing roommates in the dorms, and is also opening up extra private rooms to expand living.northwest is requiring facemasks on campus and in buildings.speaking of buildings, in-person classes will be held, but so will online classes and blended classes allowing teachers to go remotely if need be.

I think we just need to make sure that student's wear their face coverings and students wash their hands and stay socially distanced and i think we'll have a fairly normal fall semester.") what about testing for covid-19?

Norhtwest has teamed up with mosaic lifecare to test students that show symptoms, and can test students on campus or at mosaic lifecare in maryville... and the nodaway county commission is offereing some funding for those that could be a-symptomattic...but that testing will be limited... questions are still loomming though...like 'will this work?'

And 'what is going to happen if it doesn't?'...baker left me with this quote... "we've never done this before.
