Cinemark reopened Tupelo location Tuesday with safety measures in place

The theater chain Cinemark reopened its location in Tupelo with safety measures in place to protect staff and movie-goers.

Of being closed because of the pandemic ... movie theaters are once again opening their doors .... wtva's erin wilson was at the reopening of cinemark here in tupelo and shows us what movie-goers can expect.

Cinemark is the second movie theater here in tupelo to reopen after coronavirus caused a nationwide shut down.

Vice president of public relations chanda brashear's says she hopes the new changes help to keep them open.

"if you're coming with a party of four for example you will block your seats, your four, and then it's going to block seats to the right and left of you."

In addition to social distance seating.

All employees are required to wear gloves and face masks at all times.

All hard surfaces are disinfected every thirty minutes.

Each auditorium is disinfected after each showing.

((stand up)) for the safety of other movie go-ers a mask is required while making your way to your seat.

However once you're sat, you can remove the masks to enjoy your movie and snacks.

With only one new movie released, all tickets for previously released movies are five dollars for adults and three for children.

Concessions are also cheaper but only for a limited time.
