Helicopter-like Treehopper bug caught on camera

This is a treehopper from the Amazon rainforest of Ecuador.

Treehoppers are insects related to cicadas and leafhoppers.

Most treehoppers have a highly modified pronotum on the back, in this case forming five hairy globes and a long spine, probably serving to deter predators.
