Reporter Esteban Reynoso shares online resources that show visuals of the destruction done by the Bear Fire, also known as the North Complex West Zone.

The bear fire has destroyed many homes and devastated several communities, and the view isn't any better from above.

Action news now reporter esteban reynoso joins us live in studio.

Esteban, what does it look like in the scar left behind by the bear fire?

This is a before and after of a portion of berry creek.

Before is on the left, after is on the right, and you can see the difference is like two completely different worlds.

More on that in a minute, but first, here at home -- the bear fire... also known as the north complex west zone..

Has burned more than 79 thousand acres and destroyed over 12 hundred structures.

Cal fire said tonight the bear fire has reached 45 percent containment.

That is up 25 percent from monday night.

Still, action news now meteorlogist bryan ramsey spoke with cal fire officials about what makes flames on this terrain so difficult to fight.

"these hillsides are incredibly, incredibly steep and they're rocky.

So there are spot fires on the hillsides that it is next to impossible to get somebody to and its just one of the challenges that we are trying to face."

There are three new websites the butte county sheriff's office released earlier today that show you what it looks like on the ground.

This is the north complex 360 panaromas, you click on any of the black pindrops, i clicked on one in and it takes you to a 360 degree drone photo.

It really shows you the complete destruction around the area, all of the dead trees, scorched earth, and still a heavy layer of smoke.

Another website will take you to more dron footage, this time up oro quincy road, where again, decimated trees, and piles of ash on the ground.

All of the photos, drone footage and videos were all captured over the past three days.

To take a look at the interactive maps yourselves, i'll go ahead and show you where you can find the links on our website.

All three links are available right there.
