Evansville Fire Department to Hold Open House Event for Potential Applicants

The Evansville Fire Department is holding an Open House soon for individuals who may be interested in becoming a firefighter.

Noon-- evansville fire department is holding an open house this saturday to get possible new recruits fired up about joining the team.

The hiring event is this upcoming saturday from 10 in the morning until noon - at the evansville fire department-- residents may attend the open house where they can learn basic training.

Lunch will be provided - you do not need a firefighter background to attend... "we will have some stuff outside so we can keep that social distancing obviously with the covid restrictions that we have.

But for those that are extremely interested in this great career, we're going to have a little bit more detailed meeting inside our administrative building here.

We're going to limit that to the first 25 individuals who fall between that age range that are really eligible to apply, which is between the ages of 20 and 35."
