The Palmer Home for Children held its second annual Tailgate for Palmer fundraiser in front of the Palmeiro Center.

Tailgate for palmer is a fundraiser to help raise money for home providing vulnerable children a place to call home.

To raise money, oranizers sold coolers and bags filled with everything needed for a tailgate to-go.

Residents could find anything from a bottle of wine to bbq inside.

Because of the coronavirus, palmer home switched the event to a drive through event to allow supporters to pick up their packages.

Drake bassett, ceo of palmer home for children, said his favorite part about this event is the bonds he is able to create.

"i think the greatest thing about this event, about tailgate, is by all means it's a fundraiser and you know we need the funds, but the best part of all is that we get to connect with people who care about the children we care about."

Bassett said the tailgate presold 200 bags before the day began.
