Loogootee Vball Preps for State

Had more than it's fair of low moments compared to the highs.

However, down in loogootee 2020 has been an incredibly special year for girls athletics.

With the girls basketball team claiming the 1a state title back in february, the volleyball team now has the chance to follow suit.

This past saturday, the lions dispatched the hauser jets in straight sets to claim their program's sixth overall program's sixth overall semi-state title and their first since 2012.

Now loogootee turns their attention to the pioneer panthers.

Pioneer is the same school loogootee beat at bankers life to claim their girls basketball title 10 months ago.

So, once again if the lions want to be the last team standing at the end of the season they'll have to go through the panthers.

<the first time i was like "oh my gosh, i'm going to state", now i'm like "i'm going to state again" and we're playing pioneer...again!

I'm just really excited and i know they're excited too and they want a rematch, this time in a different sport obviously, but i'm really excited and i know they'll bring it.

I think just for each and every one of these girls and their families, i think this just huge for them.
