Deputies responded to a death investigation in the one thousand block of thomas place... off edna place.
Thay's were they found 28 -year-old milton sanford of jones county in a vehicle and shot in the face.
The sheriff's office says this is the 38th shooting death this year.
Deputies have identified a person of interest in this case.
They're looking for 27-year-old larry howard junior for questioning.
They say he's known to frequent east macon and the bloomfield area.
