The annual elkton arts and wine festival in douglas county is still happening -- despite the state freeze...with a twist.

Kezi 9 news reporter evita garza shows us how one local business owner is trying to stay positive... despite losing a busy weekend.

Tell me they are taking a big hit next weekend& now that the elkton arts and wine festival has gone virtual.

But now wee in transition?

Normally, people would travel from near and far for the festival& to participate in winery and art studio walking tours all over elkton.

And restaurants like tomaselli would get to serve all those hungry tourists.

This year, organizers say theye encouraging visitors to order wine bottles and art online& and, order take out from restaurants in town.

"we really appreciate the support we've had so far, so we're looking forward to seeing people."

The elkton community education center will also host a small, covid-safe exhibit& to make sure local artists still get recognition that weekend.
